Club Nights
Weekly sessions take place on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 PM at the Harford Community Centre on Hall Road (View Map). These gatherings welcome players of all ages and standards for social chess, training, and serious internal or league competitions.
Annual & Seasonal Tournaments
The club participates in and hosts local competitive events, including the regional Rapidplay tournaments and internal club championships (such as the Norfolk & Norwich Challengers) spanning the chess season.
Junior Branch Meetings
The club's junior section meets separately on Saturday mornings during term time (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM) at Colman Junior School, South Park Avenue, Norwich NR4 7AU, led by secretary and organizer Stephen Orton.
They have matches against other clubs, internal leagues and other competitions, they run trips to local chess events, and members are regularly selected to play for Norfolk and sometimes for England as well.
